Inhabitants of the City

الْقَرْيَةِ

• Ghetto

• House

• City

• Hut

• A group of people

فَعَزَّزۡنَا بِثَالِثٍ

• We sent a third Prophet

• Along came the third Prophet

• We strengthened them with a third

• Three Prophets came to preach at once

تَطَيَّرۡنَا بِكُمۡۚ

• We see you as an evil enemy

• We regards you as an evil sign

• You are an evil person

• You do evil things

اَـئِنۡ ذُكِّرۡتُمۡ

• You were told

• We reminded you before

• Is it because you were reminded ?

• You don't listen

لَنَرۡجُمَنَّكُمۡ

• We will hit you

• You will get beaten

• We will stone you

• We want to hurt you

مُّسۡرِفُوۡنَ‏

• Stay in your limits

• You have no limitations

• Crossing all the limits

• Exceeding all the limits in your disobedience and sinfulness

Who did Prophet Muhammad PBUH call to believe in Allah SWT?

• The Makkans

• The Madinans

• The Quraysh

• The Banu Nadir

• The Bani Isra'il

They continued to disbelieve the Prophet PBUH by saying:

• You are an angel

• You are a human like us

• You are not from God

• You are not a Messenger

How did the Inhabitants of the City transgress against the Messengers?

• They called the Messenger a bad sign.

• They believed that Messengers were lying.

• They threatened to stone the Messengers to death.

• They said they would punish their families.

How did the Messengers react towards the people?

• The Messengers stayed calm and patient.

• Messengers cursed the people.

• Messengers asked Allah to punish the disbelievers.

• Messengers stayed determined and continued to do dawa.
