Disaster Strikes Blizzard Night

Jayden Griffen is on his way to go to the cabin with the Walcotts because

• He is on a trip with his friend and their family

• He is new to their family and is a foster kid

• He is on a church trip to learn how to ski

• He is meeting his family once they get to the Mountains

The Walcott kids all look different because

• They are all adopted

• They have different color hair

• They enjoy different styles of clothes

Jayden feels out of place with this new family because

• He loves doing things outdoors and they enjoy staying indoors

• He loves doing things indoors and they like outdoor activities

• They are all into sports and he enjoyed reading more

• He is into sports and they all just like to read

The van got stuck in a snow bank because

• It started to snow and slipped off the road

• Mr. Walcott missed a turn and went off the road

• A deer ran out in front of them and they slid down the side of a mountain

Mr. Walcott did not go for help because

• He had to stay and protect their younger son Rory

• He did go for help

• He wanted to stay to try and fix the car

• He broke his leg in the car accident

Connor ran into a tree because

• He was too cold and was walking backwards into the wind

• The snow was coming so fast and thick they could not see the trees

• Maggie pushed him into the tree

• he turned around to tell Jayden and Maggie what to do

To get out of the cold the kids went into a cave, Jayden fell into a

Maggie, Connor and Jayden had handle:

• getting lost in the blizzard

• battling hypothermia

• almost getting attacked by a bear

• all three options

When looking for the cabin they realized

• they were actually on the lake

• they went past the cabins in the storm

• they were going in the wrong direction

Jayden needed help because

• he broke his leg

• he fell threw the ice and was soaking wet

• he cut his head open

• he fell off the snowmobile
