• ensure you stack no higher than 3 to 1

Before attempting to lower an overhead load

• put on a back support

• shrink wrap th load

• set up a fall zone

• size up the load

What is the proper procedure to lift a load?

• Bend over knees straight feet together

• lift with your back legs straight

• lift with your legs back straight head up

• lift with arms legs straight head up

When stacking bags of material that are the same width step back and cross key the bags

• in each tier over 7 feet

• until the stack reaches 4 feet

• every 10 bags high

• all the way to the top of the pile

NEVER stack or store materials

• in cabinets

• on scaffolds

• outdoors

• on pallets

to tie a clove hitch a common trick is to use two

• slip notws

• half hitches

• bowlines

• square knots

To transport a bottle of compressed gas use a

• hand truck

• cylinder cart

• wheelbarrow

• tunnel buggy

When moving materials with a cart on an inclined or declined surface make sure

• the load doesn't exceed the labeled weight capacity

• hydraulic ram has been removed

• hand brake is within reach
