What is the definition of bullying?

• behavior that is mean and rude

• unwanted, aggressive behavior that involves a real or perceived imbalance of power that is repeated or has the potential to be

What is verbal bullying?

• spreading rumors about someone

Physical bullying involves:

• telling other kids not to be friends with someone

• hurting a person's body or possessions

• threatening to cause harm

• teasing

Kids that are directly involved in bullying include:

• Kids who bully and kids who assist

• Kids who reinforce and kids who assist

• Kids who assist and kids who bully

• Kids who bully and kids who are bullied

Kids who are not directly involved in bullying are contributing to the behavior are:

• Kids who assist and kids who reinforce

Who is considered an outsider?

• Kids who comfort the child being bullied

• Kids who give the bullying an audience by laughing or providing support for the children engaged in bullying

• Kids who remain separate from the bullying situation. They do not reinforce the bullying behavior nor defend the child.
