• making eye contact with the speaker & sitting up straight

• leaning forward & facing the speaker

Verbal encouragement means

Relaxed listening means

• you listen to nothing the speaker says

• you listen to everything the speaker says

• you listen to some of what the speaker says

Relaxed listening includes

• interrupting the speaker & blurting out answers

• jumping up from your seat & shouting "I know the answer!"

• not being anxious to speak & not interrupting the speaker
