I wonder who made gym class mandatory? It is an excellent idea! It is a needed break from sitting in chairs. In a recent poll (study), gym class was the favorite subject of elementary students. I wish there was gym class more often!

Many people don't like bees. However, without these helpful insects, we would not have many of our favorite flowers or fruits. When bees drink nectar from flowers, they carry away pollen. Bees leave the pollen on the next plant they visit. This helps create necessary new plants.

Many cities have aquariums that have adopted orphaned (abandoned) dolphins found in the ocean. Many of these dolphins were wounded (hurt) and would not have survived alone. Because of the kindness of humans, these animals are alive today.

I think all students should go to school year round (all year). As an educator, I see many students lose knowledge they have gained from the previous year over the summer. I also see that many students have a hard time getting back into a school routine when it begins again in the fall. I feel school should continue year round with more short breaks (vacation) for students in between.
