Testing Strategies

Before taking the test you should

• Eat a huge meal

• Get a good nights sleep

• Show up to your testing location as the bell is ringing

• stay up late

It is import to listen to the directions so you

• know if the test is timed

• know the company providing the test

• know how it will affect your grade

During a timed test it is important to

• take your time and read everything carefully

• read any reading passage twice

• pay attention the time time left and pace yourself

• try to be the first person done

When taking a reading test the 1st thing you should read is

• the answer choices

• the title

• the passage

• the questions

When attacking the online text you should

• not use paper because the test is online

• write about statements and reflection on your scratch paper t-chart

• record your answers on paper so you can check them later

When answering questions you should

• start at the bottom and go from d to a

• stop when you find the answer you think is right

• pick a different letter than you choose for the previous question

• choose a letter you feel like you haven't used in a while

When taking a math test

• trust the figure they give you

• don't waste time doing the math

• copy the figure to scale on your scratch paper

• you should never use the online calculator

When taking a test

• you should answer the easy questions first

• you should save the easy question for the end

• there are no easy questions

• you don't get any points for getting the easy question correct
