Classroom expectations

When are Mrs. G's tutoring times?

• Before school on Mondays and after school on Fridays until 4.

• Tuesdays and Thursdays until 4.

• Whenever I need tutoring.

• Tuesdays before school and almost every day after school until 3:45.

What does the "golden" mindset NOT include?

• Respecting the differences in opinion of other classmates.

• Talking only when being called on in class.

• Making rude comments toward staff at our school and/or other students.

• Being kind to someone even when your friends won't.

When is the most likely for a red slip to occur?

• When I do everything I am supposed to be doing.

• When I make a serious offense.

• When I won't turn in my homework.

• When I have decided to be disrespectful towards a classmate or my teacher, or make the choice to not follow classroom/school procedures consistently.

What is Reading Around the World?

• Mrs. G's extra activity in which you can earn prizes through the library AND occasional extra credit.

• A game show somewhere in Europe.

• A movie where people travel the world by transporting through books.

• I can't read.

When is the ONLY time you should ask to use the restroom?

• Before class, or during individual work time.

• Only before class.

• Right in the middle of the teacher giving instructions.

• Right after the bell rings for class to start.

How often should you be checking your grades to ensure that anything needing correction is taken care of?

• Once a month.

• Every 2 weeks.

• Everyday after I know an assignment was due.

• At least every other day.

How many school days after an assignment is due does the late work then become a 0?

• 3

• I will never get a 0 for turning in something late.

When consequence will occur for not filling out ALL parts of the restroom log?

• For 3 times, not being able to use the restroom for the rest of the week, and for 5 times, not being able to use the restroom for the rest of the school year.

• For 1 time, not being able to use the restroom for the rest of the week, and for 3 times, not being able to use the restroom for the rest of the school year.

Voice Level 0 should occur

• Never.

• Only when we are taking tests.

• As soon as the bell rings for warm up time, and when Mrs. G instructs us to during individual work (including tests, quizzes, etc).

• When I feel like being quiet.

Cell phones should be used

• Everytime is a good time, all the time, all the time.

• Whenever I want to play games or text my "mom".

• When I get bored with my work and don't feel like doing it.

• When Mrs. G has given me permission to, and ONLY for classroom purposes/.
