What is a circuit?

• The path of magnetic fields

Why are resistors important in some circuits?

• Becuase they slow down the flow of electrons so the circuit doesn't over heat
• Because they protect against loss of charg
• Because they complete the circuit
• Because they control the flow of energy up and down

What is a series circuit?

• The transfer of electrons from one object to another
• A circuit with a single path the current follows
• A circuit that goes in multiple directions
• A circuit that takes place in a series of events

How is a parallel circuit different from a series?

• It has multiple paths for the current to follow

• It has many branches that get weaker farther from the battery

• They are two circuits running side by side

• They are the same thing

What happens when you add a second bulb to a series circuit?

• The first bulb gets brighter

• The second bulb will be as bright as the first because they both get full power

• The circuit will no longer work

• Both bulbs will be half as bright because the voltage is divided

Why are parallel circuits more commonly used in houses?

• Because they are faster than series
• Because if one light has a problem the rest will still work
• Because they are easier for electricians to wire
• Because they use less electricity
