Violent video games do not directly cause youth to be more violent.   According to research, “sales of video game hardware and software increased 204% from 1994 to 2014, , while violent crimes decreased 37% and murders by juveniles acting alone fell 76% in that same period.”  This means that sales of games went up significantly but murders by youth great went down.  There are many other things that cause someone to commit a crime such as mental health, personal experiences, and home environment.  Most youth have common sense not to do the things in violent video games.  In conclusion, violent videos should not be blamed for making young people violent.
