Lab Safety

In the event of any lab emergency, who do you notify?

Injuries and accidents should be reported:

When you conduct experiments in the lab, long hair should be:

When you are in the lab, you should wear:

In the event of broken equipment, what should you do?

• stop using the equipment and report it immediately

While working in the lab, the lab table should ALWAYS be kept clear of:

• lab equipment
• books, purses and jewelry
• writing utensils
• lab worksheets

In order to put out a fire in a person's hair or clothing, use:

• water in the sink
• fire extinguisher
• fire blanket
• wind produced from running

The correct way to move about the lab is to:

• run
• hurry
• walk
• skin

Lab clean up should be carried out according to:

• the instructor
• your lab partner
• yourself
• clean up is not required
