What's your hobby

What’s your hobby?  
 Most people collect things and I’m no exception. I’ve been collecting posters since I was 9 years old. I’m now 14, so you can imagine how many posters I’ve got! I’ve got all sorts- from small ones I’ve found in magazines to very large ones I’ve bought at concerts or sporting events. My favourite poster is one that I have of my favourite film – The Lord of the Rings. It’s more than a metre high and I’ve put it on my bedroom wall where I can see it when I’m lying in bed.

My hobby is my music. I sing and play the drums in an all –girl group. We started the group only last year, but we have already played five concerts – two of them at school. Many people ask me how can I sing when I’m playing the drums. I don’t think it’s at all difficult. Of course I’m not the only singer in the group. Melissa, one of the guitarists, also sings. I really love my hobby and hope that when I grow up I will be in a famous band.

I’ve always been a very sporty person and living where I do, in Norway, the natural thing to do was a snow sport. Every winter I go snowboarding with my father and my brother. It’s a very exciting sport and can be a little dangerous if you’re not careful. I’d like to try skateboarding because people tell me it’s a little like snowboarding. Maybe next year I will ask my parents to get me a skateboard for my birthday.

The theme of the party is going to be Harry Potter, so all must dress accordingly. You would make a great witch! I need to let everyone know by Wednesday since I am throwing the party next Saturday. Sam is going to decorate the house and my mother is going bake a cake and make lots of food. There is going to be music and dancing as well. John is going to be the DJ. You can stay over at my house. It’s going to be great! I hope to see you then.
