GMAW Welding

When GMAW welding one should wear

• wool clothing and cotton gloves

• synthetic shorts
• a heavy coat
• tinted glasses

MIG welding produces harmful

• noise
• light rays
• heat
• gas

When starting to MIG weld, the operator should

• Set the ground clamp and turn on the Gas to 20 psi
• Clean area of scraps and tools
• Shield others from arc rays

Welding cables should be protected from

• sparks and flames

• lying on the ground

The amperage setting should be made while the welding machine is off, where do you find the setting at?

• ask Mr. Boeding
