You want to watch funny videos on a new site your friend told you about.
The site asks you to create an account with your full name, age, and email.
After you sign up, it asks if you want to install their app on your phone. Once you install the app, it asks for permission to access your location "to show videos from your area."
You also start getting emails about other websites.
Plus, ads for toys you were looking at yesterday start appearing in the videos.
This happens because the video site is collecting tracking data about you—including your location and watch history—and the default privacy settings allow it to gather and share that information.
What would you do in this situation?
