1. Exploring Careers in Astronomy

Understanding the objects in our solar system can inspire people to become astronomers or

astrophysicists. For example, studying the composition and behavior of planets and moons can help

scientists research exoplanets (planets outside our solar system). Others may design satellites that

monitor Earth’s climate.

2. Space Missions and Engineering

Space engineers design and build spacecraft that explore planets like Mars and Jupiter. These

spacecraft must survive extreme temperatures, high radiation, and long trips through space. Engineers

use their knowledge of planetary environments and materials to solve these challenges.
