Expresses action performed by the subject of the sentence (Subject comes first)
Passive
Indicates that the subject was acted upon by something else; Look for who or what does the action. In other words, the predicate comes first and gets emphasis.

Progressive Tenses
Happening in the present and will continue on. The action is not done.
"To be" + "present conjugation"
I am kayaking = Present Progressive.
I was Kayaking = Past Progressive

Perfect Tenses
Happening in the past and will not continue on to present. The action is finished.
"To have" + "present conjugation"
I have kayaked = Present perfect
He had Kayaked = Past Progressive

Happening in the future but referring to a past that has not happened yet.
