The student will be able to:

• Analyze the use of STEM technology in the role of an Architect’s career

• Explain the educational training needed to be a Architect

• Compare the educational and physical skills of various occupational groups that a construction occupations can do

Expectations

1. Participation is expected. If you don't complete the work, your grade will reflect it.

2. Be respectful at all times. Watch your language and your tone towards each other and staff.

3. Watch your voice level. There's no reason to talk loudly or talk across the classroom.

4. Restroom pass is given one at a time and will be documented in my restroom log book. Failure to return in a timely manner will result in an infraction and loss of restroom privileges. Raise your hand to ask!!! DO NOT GET OUT OF YOUR SEAT TO ASK. You will be directed back to your seat.

5. Use materials properly. This includes the chromebooks, project materials, and writing stationary. Misuse will lead to a referral for damage of school property or endangering the safety of other students.

6. Remain seated. If you need anything, RAISE YOUR HAND!!!!!

7. Pay attention during the lesson and read directions on assignments. I will not be walking all over the room helping those that failed to pay attention.

The Architecture and Construction Jump Start 2.0 Pathway encompasses a vast array of

careers all focused on the construction, design/pre-construction, and

maintenance/operations of structures. These structures include residential neighborhoods,

houses, and apartments; commercial buildings, warehouses, and offices; and public

churches, schools, and recreational buildings. Pathway coursework will allow students to go

directly into skilled trades as carpenters, plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, welders

or equipment operators. Architecture and Construction students will also be well prepared

to continue their education to become professional architects, drafters, engineers,

operators, and project managers.

For incoming freshmen 2020-2021

​We will use generated nicknames to avoid issues with student names. I will walk around to find the top 3 finishers. Keep your voice levels down to avoid disrupting our neighbors!!!!

​1. Login to your BRBytes account using your login card
2. Click on the class name in the box
3. Scroll down on Module 1 until you see Architecture and Construction
4. Click on "BellRinger"
5. Click "Show Questions" to answer the questions. This is a major grade, so make sure you participate!!!!!
6. Click submit after you've answered.
7. We will then work on the Main Lesson.
