Climate and Resources of the Pacific Islands

Basically all islands in the Pacific Islands are tropical with rain all year and
warm temperatures

Some exceptions are the mountains on the island of Papua New Guinea which have a cool
highland climate and rainy and dry seasons

Two classifications for resources - low islands and high islands

Low Islands have few resources and poor soil for farming

High islands have many resources with good soil for farming
