• Any two line segments are said to be congruent if they are equal in length.

• Two triangles are said to be congruent if their corresponding sides and angles are equal.

Important Points:

• The word 'congruent' means 'exactly equal' in terms of shape and size. 

• Congruence exists even when the shapes are oriented differently: turn, flip, or rotate
