Domestic tourism is a very popular form of tourism.
in 2010 worldwide, 83% of all tourist arrivals were domestic tourist; and
69% of all overnight stays in hotels were by domestic tourists - STAYCAYS!
For example: In the Philippines, in 2010, domestic tourism receipts were US$22.9 billion, as compared to international tourism receipts of US$3.2 billion.
