Some people consider an "article" to be a part of speech and others do not. Therefore there are 8 Parts of Speech without articles and 9 parts of speech if an article is included. Parts of Speech consist of 8 or 9 parts.

Nouns (Naming Word)
A noun is the name of a person, place, thing or idea.
Examples of nouns: Daniel, London, table, dog, teacher, pen, city, happiness, hope

Types of Nouns
Common - Words that name general items rather than specific ones. (Ex: Dog)
Proper - Words that specify . Ex: Fido (The dog's name)
Concrete - Things you can see or touch. Ex: dishes, desks, doorknobs
Abstract - Things you can't see or touch. Ex: love, justice, guilt
Nouns can be subjects, predicates or objects.

Types of Pronouns
Personal -Refers to specific people , places, or things. Ex: I, he, she, him
Indefinite - Does not refer to any person, amount, or thing in particular. Ex: anything, something, anyone, everyone
Relative - Introduces a relative clause, relates the noun or pronoun to other words. Ex: which, that, whose, whoever, whomever, who, whom
Interrogative - Pronouns that ask a question. Ex: What, whose, what , whom
Demonstrative - Pronoun that points to a specific object. Ex: these,those, this
Intensive/reflexive- A pronoun that ends in self or selves and places emphasis on its antecedent. Ex: myself, yourself, yourselves, themselves
