•A fragment is a group of words that looks like a sentence but is missing a subject, a predicate, or a complete thought. Therefore, it is an incomplete sentence.
•Rolled down the windows. (missing a subject)
•Some girls in the class. (missing a predicate)
•From morning until night. (missing both a subject and a predicate)
•Jen and Mark have. (missing a complete thought)

•A run-on is created when two or more sentences are joined together without proper punctuation and are written as one sentence.
