Here we are at the beginning of another School Year, and it's wonderful to see everyone again! Dr. Brown has been the Counselor at Topsail Annandale Elementary School for 13 years. Now, because we have so many students, we have new Counselor, Mrs. J (Jaworowski). She will be here two and a half days per week.

Where in the school is the Counselors' office located?

Sometimes you might need to talk to a school counselor. That's when you can leave one of us a note, or ask your teacher to let us know. A parent might also ask one of the school counselors to work with their child, or maybe the principal or assistant principal will suggest it.

School counselors are here to help every student in the school, so we stay very busy! Even though there are two of us, we still might be very hard to find sometimes.

School counselors keep information confidential. This means that they will NOT share what you tell them with others without your permission.

The only times counselors have to tell someone else is when you tell them that someone is getting hurt, or that you plan to hurt someone.

We keep you and others safe!
