ELEMENTS OF WEATHER AND CLIMATE

  • TEMPERATURE - the measure of heat energy in the atmosphere around the earth. We use a thermometer to measure temperature

  • PRECIPITATION - usually refers to rainfall however, it is any kind of moisture that falls onto the Earth's surface (e.g. rain, snow and sleet)

  • WIND - air moving over the earth's surface
