Write Fractions as Decimals and Percents

  • Writing an equivalent fraction with a denominator of 100. This method is useful when the fraction has a denominator that is a factor or a multiple of 100. 

  • Use long division. This method is useful if a fraction does not have a denominator that is a factor or multiple of 100.

  • Move two decimal places to the left when converting to percent to decimal.

  • Move two decimal places to the right when converting to decimal to percent
