Algebraic Expressions and it's Parts

2
Question: How can you identify the parts of a Algebraic Expression?
Coefficients
Terms
Variables
Constants
3
How do you solve Algebraic Expressions?
It's quite simple, you do the same thing while solving such as adding, subtracting, multiplying or dividing. When you solve an expressions you will see a letter and that letter sometimes tells you a certain value you can use or having to identify when already finding an answer.

Terms
The letter you saw on the problem is a term. Sometimes when you solve a expression problem on a quiz you could see a certain amount it gives you while solving. For example: (5 x e) [e = 2]
6
Fill in the Blank
Which numbers have a term in their number in the following expression?
5y, 2, 6i, 3
7
Coefficients
Terms in a number are called coefficients. In order to solve them you must find out what certain value does a term have. After that, you must multiply the number with the term that is the problem. Example: (2e - 4) ------> e = 5 ------> 10 - 4
8
Multiple Select
How many numbers are in the equation?
2, 6, 8r, 4m

9
Variables
This is easy and simple, for variables you just find out how many numbers are found in an expression. For example in the previous slide, there were 4 numbers.
10
Multiple Select
Which of the following numbers don't have terms?
6e
2
8
5l
23x
11
Constants
Quite simple, there are no terms that are in a number making the expression normal.
