Matter and It's Interactions

Molecules within matter, which is anything that has mass and takes up space, are always moving. The closer they are to each other the slower they move and the farther apart they are the faster they move.

3

Matter and It's Interactions

The different states of matter are solids, liquids, gases and plasma.

* Solids have a definite shape and a definite volume

* Liquids no definite shape but a definite volume

* Gases have no definite shape and no definite volume

Matter and It's Interactions

The temperature at which water boils is 32 degrees Fahrenheit, or 0 degrees Celsius. It boils at 212 degrees Fahrenheit, or 100 degrees Celsius.

5

Matter and It's Interactions

Diffusion is the process of a gas moving from an area of high concentration to an area of low concentration

6

Matter and It's Interactions

Kinetic energy is energy in motion. Every object has kinetic energy. The closer the molecules are in an object, the less kinetic energy they have. The farther apart the molecules are, the more kinetic energy they have.
