Sentences can end with a period (.), a question mark (?), or an exclamation point (!).

A period is used to tell something.

• For example: I ride the bus to school.

A question mark is used to ask something.

• For example: Do you ride the bus to school?

An exclamation point is used to show strong feeling.

• For example: Quick, the bus is leaving!
