Purpose

Your brain is just like Youtube.

We are all able to recall information regarding historical topics. What is interesting is that just like Youtube can predict what you want to watch, your brain picks the answers that it thinks you want.

It is great when it picks right and it wrong, sometimes we cannot see it-- because we are blinded by our own bias.

12

Purpose Of This Class

The purpose is to learn some history of the world -- not US HISTORY.

The purpose is to learn skills that help us think more critically about the world & hopefully confront some personal biases.

The purpose of this class is to build a world perspective.

You may not always agree with perspective -- but the goal is to cite specific and logical reasons why the perspective is flawed.

13
