Capital Letters

  • A capital letter goes at the start of every sentence. ( This might seem obvious but not everyone does this!)

  • They also go on proper nouns ( a name , country , place)

  • They also go on pronouns ( I)

Full stops

Full stops indicate when you have finished the sentence.

If you do not use them , your writing will ramble on and not make sense as it will flow all into one.

  • Commas help separate a sentence , breaking it up to allow a pause and to divide the sentence into smaller pieces to read better.

  • They are used for listing , separate clauses and to introduce direct speech.
