Types of Natural Disasters

  • Hurricanes: are giant storms that stretch hundreds of miles and begin at sea and sometimes crash into land.

  • Tornados: Spinning funnel-shaped storms with winds up to 300 mph. While tornados may seem small in comparison to other storms but the most violent storms.

  • Volcanos: openings in the earths surface where molten magma comes out in violent eruptions or will pour out.

  • Tsunamis: Are giant ocean waves that are caused by underwater earthquake or volcano eruptions.
