Observe and Clasify

• an information gathering process

• we use the senses (sight, touch, smell) to gather information

• we can identify the similarities and differences between two objects and classify them

Measuring and using numbers

• to observe quantitatively

• we can use items like paper, ruler, paper clips, weighing scale and beakers to measure

Communiate

• communicate findings in the form of charts, diagrams, tables, graphs and models

• these can be presented orally

Five manipulative skills

• using and handling the science apparatus correctly

• handling science specimens correctly and carefully

• sketching the specimen, apparatus and science materials accordingly

• cleaning all aparatus correctly after the investigation

• placing the apparatus and science specimens safely and correctly

Science Room Rules

• Ensure the science room is always neat and clean

• To ensure safety of the students and apparatus in the science room

• Throw solid waste into the basket

• Throw liquid waste into the sink

• Clean all apparatus after using them

• Restore back all the apparatus

• Inform the teacher if there are any injuries or apparatus that are damaged.
