DEFINITIONS OF RENEWABLE AND NONRENEWABLE ENERGY

  • Nonrenewable energy sources, like coal, oil, and natural gas, cannot be easily replenished.

  • A renewable energy source can be more easily replenished. Common examples of renewable energy include wind, sunlight, moving water, and Earth’s heat.
