An Initialism is when the first letter of words are used to identify them. Like JK= Just Kidding.

An acronym is when the first letter of words are used to identify them. Together they are said as a word. Like GOAT=Greatest of All Time. The next few slides will show you Initialisms and Acronyms to help you remember energy forms.

What's an EASY way for me to Remember 5 forms of energy?

The first letter of five forms of energy makeup the acronym M.E.L.T.S.

If you remember M.E.L.T.S, then you can give yourself a reminder of at least five types of energy. (look at the image on this page).

What about a way to remember Nuclear and Chemical?

N is for nuclear. C is for chemical. Sometimes in texting you say N instead of "and." Sometimes you say C instead of "see." So put all of these together for M.E.L.T.S. N C or you can try NC M..E.L.T.S.

Now you have an easy way to remember 7 kinds of energy.

Now add Potential and Kinetic Energy

Let's take the Po from Potential and the Kin from Kinetic. Put them together to remember
