  • a group of words that expresses a COMPLETE thought.

  • begins with a Capital letter and ends with a punctuation mark.

Sentence Fragment

  • a group of words that DOES NOT express a complete thought.

  • a fragment could be missing a SUBJECT (who or what) 

  • a fragment could be missing a PREDICATE (what the subject is doing or what is happening to the subject).
