  • the average of all numbers in a data set

  • the sum of numbers divided by total amount of numbers

  • Example: 3,3,3,6,7,7,13 (Add data together)

  • 3 +3 + 3+6 + 7+ 7+ 13 = 42

  • Then divide answer by total amount of numbers (42 /7)

  • The mean of this data set will be 6
