Mathematical Direct and Inverse Relationships

Let's  look at the formula for velocity: v=d/t
In a direct relationship, the two variables will do the same thing, which is they will either increase in value or decrease in value.
In this example, velocity has a direct relationship with distance, if the distance value increases, so does the velocity and vice versa.

Mathematical Direct and Inverse Relationships

Let's  look at the formula for velocity: v=d/t
In an inverse relationship, the two variables will do the opposite.
In this example, velocity has an  indirect relationship with time, if the time value increases, the velocity will decrease in value.
