President Lincoln's plan for Reconstruction. A Southern state could rejoin the Union once 10% of its voters swore a loyalty oath. It was seen as very lenient (easy).

President Andrew Johnson's plan. It was also relatively easy on the South, requiring states to ratify the 13th Amendment (ending slavery) and swear loyalty.

Members of Congress who were much stricter on the South. Their plan aimed to punish the Confederacy and guarantee rights for formerly enslaved people.
