These Native Arizonans lived in the mountain region from around 200 CE - 1450 CE. Early homes were pithouses, but began building homes in cliffs and caves. Known for first southwestern pottery and growing good-tasting corn.

These Ancient Native Arizonans lived in the plateau region from 200 CE -1600 CE. They built pithouses and adobe villages in deep canyons, but began building high up on cliffs around 1250 CE. Are known for their astronomy and basket-making skills.

lived in the Tonto Basin from CE 1250-1450. Like the Ancestral Pueblo, Salado built their houses high in cliffs, constructing multistoried adobes.
