Two rivers, the Euphrates and the Tigris, flow through the region. The rivers flow into the Persian Gulf. Mesopotamia means "the land between the rivers" The area is part of Asia.

The world's longest river, the Nile, flows north through Egypt and empties in to the Mediterranean Sea. The Red Sea is east of Egypt. It is located in Africa.

A region made of many islands and peninsulas that juts into the Mediterranean Sea. It looks like a splat of grease. It is part of Europe.
