Tropical, temperate and polar The climate of a particular area, along with it's physical characterists, determines the plants and animals that live there. Climatic Zone - A place that has its own type of weather.

Who is a Climatologist?

Studies long term weather patterns and trends and what causes them. They use information from the past to predict the future.

What is climate change?

The various long-term, significant changes in regional climatic conditions, such as rainfall and other forms of precipitation, temperature, wind and other weather conditions.

Causes of Climate Change

Ice core studies in Greenland and Antartica. Drilled below the surface of the earth and brought up ice cores that contains bubbles of ancient air trapped and compressed into ice. Global warming is another cause of climate change
