What is Mendelian inheritance?

X linked (sex linked traits) *Traits are mostly seen in males, but carried by females. *Examples of X linked traits: colorblindness, cystic fibrosis, hemophilia

What is an external stimuli?

What is an internal stimuli?

Internal stimuli are changes or feelings that occur within an organism and trigger a response. Some examples of internal stimuli include: Hunger : A decreased blood sugar level can cause a hunger response. Thirst : A drop in water levels can cause a thirst response. Carbon dioxide levels : An elevated amount of carbon dioxide in the blood can lead to a yawn. Fullness : Chemoreceptors in the vagus nerve detect fullness after eating and send signals to the brain to generate a satiety response. Emotional states : Awareness of emotions is an example of an internal stimulus.

What are the main terrestrial biomes?

tropical rainforests, savannas, subtropical deserts, chaparral, temperate grasslands, temperate forests, boreal forests, and Arctic tundra .

What is a prokaryotic cell?

A simple cell with no nucleus and no membrane bound organelles

What is a eukaryotic cell?

A complex cell with a nucleus and membrane bound organelles

What is the role of ribosomes in a cell?

Ribosomes are responsible for protein synthesis in a cell.

What is the difference between haploid and diploid cells?

Haploid cells contain one set of chromosomes, while diploid cells contain two sets of chromosomes.

What is the significance of Mendel's experiments?

Mendel's experiments with pea plants laid the foundation for the understanding of genetic inheritance.

What is the law of conservation of energy?

The law of conservation of energy states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed - only converted from one form of energy to another.

The breaking of particles and it only changes size, shape or color.
